It is one battle to take back ground from the enemy and it is another battle to HOLD THE GROUND.
Jesus declared in Luke 4:18-19 that He came into this world to “proclaim” the arrival of His Kingdom. This Kingdom would carry the distinguishing mark of freedom. No more would human beings be doomed to a life of bondage and fear – bondage to sin and fear of death. What we understand from Jesus is that freedom is gained through an act of liberation where the Holy Spirit of Jesus sets us free AND that freedom is sustained by a lifestyle of “submission to God and resisting the devil’s schemes and then watching him flee.” (James 4:7).
