What we believe

What we believe is stated in the Apostles Creed

The Apostles CreedThe Apostles Creed states “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son Our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried and dead.
He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again;  He ascended into Heaven, where He sits at God’s mighty right hand, I believe He is coming to judge the quick and the dead of the sons of men.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, one holy Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sin, I believe in the resurrection and a life that never ends.”

What we believe about God reveals what we ultimately believe about ourselves.  Because our loving Father has adopted us into His family through the shed blood of Jesus we then have become His kids.  It is through that adoption that we understand our true identity and through that identity that we have our inheritance in the Kingdom of God.
